Presbytery Property Fund

The fund is primarily for essential maintenance of parish buildings but applications for building extensions and the like will be considered.  Grants will desirably for a subsidy rather than the full cost as the available funds are limited.

Applications should be made to the Presbytery Property Committee at the contact below, who will then submit the application with a recommendation, to the Kaimai Presbytery Council for a final decision.

It should be noted that $50,000 is the limit for property expenditure that does not require the approval of the Church Council, a Congregational Meeting, the Presbytery and Presbyterian Property Trustees – also required for any proposal that includes the use of Parish Property Funds.

Funding is equally available for cooperating and union parishes within the Kaimai Presbytery regardless of which denomination holds the title.

Presbytery is required to take into account an assessment of the “fit for purpose” status of the building and its useful future in ministry.
